“The EP is a collection of songs that act as a narrative transition between the Heartbreaker EP and the next phase of writing, like an epilogue to Heartbreaker, the aftermath; it's also the groups’ first time recording together. It's been a tough year or two for us and it seems like the world has had a vendetta against this EP coming out at all, so for me the EP represents the group overcoming the years’ tribulations. It’s an EP of resilience in suffering, hence the title “Take It or Leave It”, as far as me and the group are concerned just the fact that it's out in the world is satisfaction enough, and a testament to our efforts, its reception is secondary and just a by-product. The EP is a real mixed bag of songs but as it’s an epilogue to the Heartbreaker EP there’s a lot of residual soul influence that’s carried over. ‘Take It or Leave It’ is a tongue in cheek, soul, pop soundtrack of some of the most gruelling years of my life, upbeat songs for down folks from the Midlands, take it or leave it, it is what it is.”
